Night Dunes (“Night Dunes,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit nightdunes.com or place an order, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. It is written to reflect our obligations under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy law.
Who we are

We are the party responsible for the personal information collected through this site.
The information we collect
We only collect what we need to run the shop, fulfil your order, and improve the experience.
Information you give us directly. When you create an account, place an order, join our newsletter, complete a form, or contact us, you may provide your name, email address, billing and shipping address, phone number, and the contents of your order and any message you send us.
Payment information. We do not see or store your full card number. Card payments are processed directly by our payment providers — Stripe for card payments and PayPal if you choose it. These providers handle your card details under their own security standards and privacy policies. We receive only a confirmation of payment and limited details such as the card type and last four digits.
Information collected automatically. When you browse the site we, and the services we use, may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and similar analytics data through cookies and similar technologies. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of majority in their province. This site is intended for adult customers.
How we use your information
We use your information to: process and deliver your orders and send order-related messages; provide customer service and respond to enquiries; manage your account and wishlist; send marketing emails and abandoned-cart reminders where you have opted in or where permitted by Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL); understand and improve how the site performs; prevent fraud and secure the site; and meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We rely on your consent for marketing communications and non-essential cookies, and on the necessity of performing our contract with you (and our legitimate business interests, balanced against your rights) for order fulfilment, service, security, and analytics.
The service providers we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the providers that make the shop work, and only to the extent each needs to do its job:
- Blanka — our fulfilment partner, which receives your name and shipping address to pack and ship your order.
- Stripe and PayPal — to process payments.
- Our hosting provider (Hostinger) — which stores the site and its database.
- Google Analytics (GA4) — for aggregated, privacy-respecting site analytics, loaded through Google Site Kit.
- MailPoet — to send newsletters and order/abandoned-cart emails.
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising tools — only if you have accepted marketing cookies (see the Cookie Policy).
Some of these providers may store or process data outside Canada, including in the United States. Where that happens, your information may be subject to the laws of those countries. We take reasonable steps to ensure our providers protect it to a comparable standard.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our Terms & Conditions, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
How long we keep it
We keep order and transaction records for as long as needed to fulfil the order and to meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements (generally several years, as Canadian tax rules require). Account and marketing data is kept until you close your account or unsubscribe, after which we delete or anonymise it unless we are required to retain it.
How we protect it
The site runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and we use a security plugin (Wordfence) and reputable payment providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access.
Your rights and choices
Under PIPEDA and applicable provincial law you may:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and ask for a copy.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Withdraw consent to marketing at any time — click “unsubscribe” in any email, or contact us.
- Ask us to delete your information, subject to any legal retention we are required to keep.
- Manage cookies through the consent banner at any time (see the Cookie Policy).
To exercise any of these, contact us at support@nightdunes.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will be posted on this page.
